Palos Hills Moraine Valley Community College is a primary Palos Hills asset, serving as a social and cultural center for the community. The college serves 26 communities in Cook County. Its $13 million Fine and Performing Arts Center is a highlight of the campus, offering a 600-seat theater, art gallery, and meeting rooms. Thousands of area residents participate in the campus’ annual Friendship Festival.
Palos Hills has regularly received recognition as a Governor’s Hometown Award recipient for its economic development efforts. The village excels in recreation, as well. Its popular Palos Municipal Golf Course becomes a wintertime center for toboggoning, cross-county skiing, and snowmobiling. The village is about three miles from an I-294 interchange.
