Along with its use in the college’s aviation program, the Lewis University Airport functions as a thriving corporate airport. With the largest runway in Will County and convenient access to I-55 and I-80, the Lewis University airport provides convenient air transportation for businesses in the Chicago area.

Residents can take advantage of daily METRA commuter trains for fast and convenient access to and from Chicago. REMA’s Emergency Operations Plan is used as a guide for the village to use during disaster periods.

Provisions in the plan include emergency lighting, hazardous materials assistance, severe weather spotters, search and rescue, emergency communications, and floodwater relief assistance. Every year, this organization provides Romeoville with an average of 6,000 hours of volunteer labor. Residents take pride in Romeoville’s responsive and progressive government, its outstanding health care system, affordable housing, and a diverse range of activities including social, cultural, and spiritual events.
