Olympia Fields

Olympia Fields is located approximately 25 miles from downtown Chicago via Interstate 57, and an easy drive along east-west State Route 30 to Joliet and surrounding suburbs. Interstate 80 (also designated I-294, the Tri-State Tollway and I-94, the Bishop Ford Expressway) runs west all the way across the nation from California to New York and intersects I-57 just a few miles north of Olympia Fields. The drive into Chicago is about 30 minutes, to O’Hare or Midway airports about 40 minutes.

Metra trains also provide quick, convenient transport downtown and to communities in-between, from two stations on the north and south sides of town. Express trains reach Randolph Street Station on Michigan Avenue in 40 minutes; 55 minutes with local stops. PACE buses provide local transportation in and around Olympia Fields. Rich Township offers door-to-door economical bus service to all senior citizens and handicapped residents for transportation in the surrounding areas.

The Village takes great pride in its standards of excellence in residential living. Its tree-lined streets are your gateway to its varied architecture of stately homes situated on large wooded lots. The residents also benefit from the abundant award-winning green spaces available for recreation or for simply enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of a country setting. These standards of excellence have attracted a racially and ethnically diverse population of involved and active residents that participate in and demand high standards of performance from Village government, the school districts, and other institutions and governmental bodies that impact the community. There is no better place to live or raise a family and enjoy the benefits of a diverse community working together.

Visitors to Olympia Fields will also find excellent choices in dining to satisfy every taste. Acclaimed restaurants are set in highly accessible shopping areas that offer delightful opportunities to find unique gifts as well as convenience.

The Village government is also working very hard to find ways to support the success of our business community. Through our Business Roundtable, we are partnering with the business community in order to retain their vibrant business base and to attract new businesses. Business owners are welcome, just like residents, to stop by Village Hall and talk about their needs and concerns as we move forward together into the 21st Century.
