 Located at the junction of Interstates 57 and 80, Country Club Hills is positioned for a great future. Economic development is the city's guiding light. A focal point for development activity is Cicero Avenue, the community's shopping center. Economic incentives are used to draw new businesses to the street. In 1991, the Shops at Coopers Grove opened, anchored by a large food chain. The shopping plaza is in a Tax Increment Financing district, a factor that continues to appeal to new retail establishments.
A new industrial and commercial center is in development at the northwest corner of the city, broadening the economic base of the community. Country Club Hills residents enjoy outdoor activity and many find it on the biking and jogging trails in a forest preserve and on the fairways of nearby Cherry Hills Country Club.
