Important Information For Lake Forest:

Vehicle Stickers

City ordinance requires all motor vehicles registered or housed in The City of Lake Forest to display City Vehicle Licenses. Any vehicle not registered for vehicle tags will be subject to fine or penalties. The license year is April 1 to March 31. The deadline for purchasing and displaying current stickers is April 30. After this date a late fee amounting to 50% of the license fee is assessed. The fees for motor vehicle license are listed below. Seniors age 65 and over receive a discounted fee of $40. It is one discount per senior. New residents should purchase vehicle stickers within 72 hours, or if you buy a new vehicle. You cannot park at the Forest Park Beach or use the Compost Center in The City of Lake Forest unless you display such at tag on your vehicle(s).

Vehicle Licenses Fees – April 1, 2001 to March 31, 2002 are: Passenger Vehicle $65.00, Seniors (vehicle and light truck only) $40.00,
Motorcycle (no senior discount)$30.00, RV and Light Truck (under 8,000 lbs) $75.00.

Pet Licenses

Each year it is required that cats and dogs owned by residents of The City of Lake Forest have animal tags. The license year runs from April 1 to March 31. The cost of the license tag is $10 per animal. The current date of expiration for the rabies vaccination by a licensed veterinarian must be provided.
